Buying Photo Printer Paper

February 1st, 2010

If taking photos is a big part of regular digital camera use, sooner or later, a hard copy of digital photos will be desirable to store certain photos in albums. Photo printer paper is available in several sizes that meet most photographic print needs. Check the photo printer manual to learn which photo printer paper is most compatible. Generally, photo printer paper is sold in glossy or matte finishes. In addition, many photo printers also work well with standard copy paper although the weight of standard copy paper is lighter. Standard glossy and matte finish photo printer paper is a slightly heavier lb. weight.

A Paper For Every Preference

Matte finish photo printer paper is a good choice for portrait and group photos. Glossy finish is more suited to landscape and other types of photos. The paper finish is a matter of personal choice. Look for this type paper in office supply stores or online. There are broad selections in size, finish and paper weight at very reasonable prices. Many small businesses have learned that a photo printer serves as a great way to maintain certain photo files of work in construction, engineering and for certain types of laboratory testing. HP A526 Compact Photo Printers vs The Siblings

January 28th, 2010

Before reviewing HP A526 Compact Photo Printer I had high expectations due to my previous reviews on HP Photosmart Photo Printers.

Although this model of HP is as pact with futures as its predecessors, its not quite living up to the high standards as the other two.

These 3 printers are HP’s new line of one purpose photo printers. HP A526 Photo Printer comes with following great futures:

4.8 inch Touch screen to manipulate your photos and navigate your way around the menus. It can print on 4 x 6 photo paper as well as up to 4 x 12 inches of panoramic photos.

Small and compact form factor of the A526 combined with its built-in carrying handle as well as its light weight makes it a great portable photo printer but the lack of battery option makes it harder to take it where ever you want. You need to plug it to an outlet every time you want to print.

Setup is typical for a small-format photo scanner with feeder. Plug in the power cord, install the one ink cartridge, load paper, and you’re ready to print from a USB key, a memory card, or a PictBridge camera. If you want to print from a computer, you can run the automated installation program and connect a USB cable.

It is very easy to operate and you can get photo store quality pictures right away in the comfort of your home or office. A526 is relatively fast for it’s size. You can expect to have a 4 by 6 printed in less than 1.5 minutes.
