What Are The Options in Laptops Under $300

When you are looking at laptops in a low price range, like laptops for under $300, you might not be looking at brand new, full sized laptops. Here are the most common laptops you can get in that price range.

Netbooks often fall into the under $300 price range. Netbooks are mini laptops, with a screen size somewhere between 8″ and 10.2″. Some people will tell you that a netbook is not enough, but new netbooks have a lot of computing power. The real problem some people face is with the keyboard. The keyboard of the netbooks is just a tad smaller than a full sized keyboard. Some people have trouble adjusting to the keyboard and either give up on the netbook, or get a full sized external keyboard to go with it.

Then, there are the used laptops. When looking at a used laptop, you will want a full understanding of just how old the laptop is. A laptop from 1998, even if it is in great shape, will not be a good laptop compared to some others on the market. You will really want to look at the processor, and find some information on the processor inside. A newer processor will always be more powerful than an older one.

With refurbished laptops, you will want to look at some of the same things as a used laptops. Refurbished laptops are used, and you can expect them to be at least a few years old. Refurbished laptop also had something go wrong with them, whether it was a cracked screen from falling off the laptop table for bed or a processor that kicked the bucket. If you are getting a manufacturer refurbished laptop, you can expect it to come with a warranty, but, the parts that were broken may have been replaced by the same model parts. This means they may be bound to break again. With independently refurbished laptops, you may not get any warranty, but an amazing piece of equipment. With whatever laptop you are looking at, it is important to look at reviews of others with the same laptop to see their experience.
