Accent Tables for Your Office
Categorized: Furniture | No comments
Accent tables serve not just to beautify, but they complete the look of any place where they will be used in, whether at home or office. While considered by many as some insignificant and worthless piece of furniture, they actually have a lot of practical uses. They can serve as a central gathering piece for that lazy Sunday afternoon tête-à-tête with your special someone. Or they can be put right in the entrance of your office hall to serve as a reception area. Apart from that, they can also be integrated in the office lounge to keep magazines and books within reach so clients won’t be bored while waiting.
Accent tables are an example of corner computer tables, which are staples in offices, entry ways, and reception areas. Often times, people go into the house while holding a load of items such as mail, attaché cases, groceries, kids’ bags, and car and home keys. With an entry table that is positioned right beside a roomy and comfortable chair, you get to unload these items easily so that you have your hands free to comfortably take your coat off or untie your shoes. In an office setting, console tables can be used as a welcoming piece to make a good first impression to visiting clients.
Accent foyer tables, although they function much like entry tables, they are undeniably more versatile in terms of application. A dreary looking entry hallway can be easily transformed into a beautiful foyer by just adding a nice glass top table and seat. This way, you can instantly come up with a decent place to meet and receive visitors. This will prove to be useful during instances when uninvited or unwanted guests turn up.
If you have paved living spaces in the backyard or the front lawn which you frequently use for gatherings, then you ought to think about setting up accent patio tables. You can opt for the circular ones as these pieces provide that inviting atmosphere for people to gather around. Circular pieces are much safer for kids as well as there are no sharp or angular edges present. Of course, you need to steer clear of glass-topped ones if you have kids or pets at home, as such of tables will ultimately invite disaster.
While these types of tables may not be frequently used, it does not mean you can go settle for those made from mediocre materials. Hardwoods are of course the best although a bit on the pricey side. Cheaper wood materials such as bamboo, reed and wicker are good alternatives and are very durable too. Basically, everything will boil down to your preference and allotted budget but never ever sacrifice quality over a few savings.
